Called to greater things…True and real freedom brings grace, peace, and bliss.
Often, we say, “WHY am I still in the place I was a month ago, six months ago, a year ago, ten years ago?”
Sitting on a plane early in the morning watching the sunrise as I ponder, why now, what are you doing God? I Kings 18:37, “Answer me, Lord, answer me so these people will know that you, Lord, are God and that you are turning their hearts back again.” I’ve plowed the same field for years and years wondering why I am still in the same place. Am I though? Our brain is a powerful tool that plays many tricks on all of us. My brain likes to say to me that I am not good enough, that I will never have the life that I believe in my heart is attainable. Deliverance from the mind is bliss, a gentle whisper that says, “you can do this, now move forward and I will meet you there!” (God)
There are experiences in life that you can’t teach, relate to, understand, or advise others about because you haven’t gone through the experience yourself, therefore, it is your opinion that you are speaking out to others. Experience redefines ideology. (TD Jakes) Until you’ve experienced the struggles of another, you will never understand where they are and how they got to where they are. Be slow to judge!
At this point in my life where those that are no longer a part of my journey, family or not. God has delivered me from the mind plowing of repetitiveness that I don’t belong or that I am not good enough, that I have no purpose. My purpose is fueled by my desire and my desire to attain all that God has for me makes me feel alive. I know God has better things for me!
There was a video that a dear friend told me about, “Practice Joy”. This little boy asks the question, “what do you practice”? I had to think about that in-depth. When listening to the video, I realized I don’t practice joy as much as I should. So much in the world brings us down that we forget about appreciating others, showing joy, being happy for others, sharing love, fulfilling our desires and we lose ourselves. So much emphasis is on social media and comparisons that we lose who we are and what we are passionate about. Changing our intentions will change our path. I find that my nourishment, my passion, my desire to have a fulfilling life is hopeful. As this little boy spoke in the video, he brought up a valid point, “what you practice you will get good at”. What are you practicing? My intention to change my path is to begin the practice of removing myself from the prison of my own mindset and practice the joy of life.
Deliverance is Bliss!
I will follow my heart, my dream, my passion, my desires, my path. Gods calling on my life is greater than I can even comprehend. Others may not think I am living the way they believe I should. Remember, it’s your life, it’s my life, not theirs. Your journey isn’t over, and neither is mine. The destination hasn’t changed, the method has. The beauty of God’s love and power is beyond me. He has delivered His promises for my life, and greater things have come!
May you ask yourself the same question. “What do you practice?” Journal your thoughts and make a decision that is fulfilling you and you only. Get out of the mind plowing of “I don’t know what my purpose is or where I belong” and step into a new journey that fills your soul. Evolve and grow by being intentional in making changes in your life. You only have one life to live, live it to the fullest!
