Cadillac Style

When I hear the word “Cadillac”, of course, my first thought is a really expensive car. Something I personally can’t afford.  However, the point is; There is a High Price to Pay for “Cadillac Style” living.

So let’s look at it from a different perspective.  How would you rate your relationship with Christ?  Is it “Cadillac Style?”  Is it costing you?  Can I just say, it should be costing you!

I am not referring to all monetary cost, that is microscopic of the expense that Christ paid for us all. I have a strong desire to grow my relationship with Christ deeper each day.   I will be the first to admit that I do not do this daily as I should. I don’t like to not be in control of my world, however, I am not in control of it, God is. He can take it away as quickly as He gave it to me. We are all in different circumstances that block us from trusting Gods best, and His word. Many of us fear how we are going to pay our bills, put food on the table, or even put gas into our vehicle (if we have one) so that we can get to our jobs, (again if we have one). There are some people that are lonely, they want to be accepted, they desire to be loved and to love, they carry a fear of being rejected. Some are suffering from depression and anxiety.  The reality that we have to face each day is, how we will be able to live day to day?

I like the Message version of Matthew 6:31-32, “If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.”

We worry, get stressed, fear the unknown, we even fear the known.  None of this is from God. If your heavenly Father cares for common birds, feeds them every day, tends to the flowers, the trees, the oceans, how much more will He care for you, His precious child?  Ten Fold!

Let us not be of the world and wonder how our daily needs will be met, Gods word says they will be met. Trust Him.  When we look at the high price Jesus paid on the Cross for us, His life was sacrificed. So, I ask, what are you sacrificing?  What price are you willing to pay to trust God? Hebrews 11:6 tells us, “without faith, it is impossible to please God.” Consider Job, a man of much greater faith than the average person, as demonstrated by the fact that he worshiped God after being afflicted. How many of us would have lost all faith in God if we had been in Job’s place?

Ask God to reveal to you what is of this world that you need to release in order to gain Gods best.  Whatever is of this world that is keeping you in bondage and hindering you from receiving Gods best, surrender it and expect “Cadillac Style” living from your Heavenly Father, He loves you that much!

Keep Smiling and Have Faith, You are worth it!

Lovingly Serving Christ and His Children,
